66:21:4 My favorite verse
66:21:4
grace: unmerited love & undeserved kindness.
to love and be kind to another even in the absence of their righteousness and perfection.
to love and be kind to another despite thier failures, mistakes and sins.
Love is the Movement: I've seen this so many times, but I still love it and have to share it :)
TAKE TIME TO READ. It’s worth reading it. Trust me :)
Professor : You are a Christian, aren’t you, son ?
Student : Yes, sir.
Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?
Student : Absolutely, sir.
Professor : Is GOD good ?
Student : Sure.
Professor: Is GOD all powerful ?
Student : Yes.
…
Loved it.
The writer points out truthfully that as darkness is the absence of light and death is the absence of life, so too is it that evil and suffering are the absence of God; He did not create them, they are simply what you get when God is not there. An unfortunate attribute of our free will.
However true the point of this post may be (which it is), it is not entirely factual. This conversation between Einstein and a professor never actually took place, nor was Einstein a Christian. “His name was merely inserted into this clever anecdote so as to gain popularity among readers.”
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
It’s not the way that you say it
When you do those things to me.
It’s more the way that you mean it
When you tell me what will be.
And when you stop and think about it
You won’t believe it’s true.
That all the love you’ve been giving
Has all been meant for you.
Between the silence of the mountains
And the crashing of the sea
There lies a land I once lived in
And she’s waiting there for me.
I’m looking for someone to change my life.
I’m looking for a miracle in my life.
And if you could see what it’s done to me
To lose the love I knew
Could safely lead me through
To the land that I once knew.
To learn as we grow old
The secrets of our souls.
It’s not the way that you say it
When you do those things to me.
It’s more the way you really mean it
When you tell me what will be.
